If ever there was a place to watch the sunrise and sunset in Ireland it would be at the Gentian Cottage. Every morning with my coffee I would sit and watch the day begin from the 'viewing room' as we called it. Whether it was the sunrise, a view of the Aran Islands or just our mom cows and their calfs in the fields. I just returned from a two week visit to the cottage to which we had taken our 90 year old mom with us. The living conditions were great for her. A bathroom to every bedroom. The step in shower made life so much easier for her.
Just a walk up the road brings you into another world. Walking thru the Burren, having horses greet you with a hands feeding away. This truly was a visit to Ireland we will never forget and a special thanks to Ann O'Callaghan and the Gentian Cottage it truly is heaven on earth.
